The types of connectors used in modern motorsport have evolved
over many years, certain products and manufacturers have
become almost ‘standardised’ for
use throughout the industry.
The connectors and components listed on these pages are in no
way exhaustive but they do provide almost everything you
will need to
manufacture and maintain a high performance set of race wiring.
Lemo connectors have been the mainstay of high quality interconnection
for many years and have been fitted as standard on many hardware
devices which ensures that they are still used today. Can be
a bit awkward to assemble for an untrained user and the non-waterproof
versions can cause problems. Have been overtaken by the Autosport
range in many applications.
Autosport Micro-Lite connectors have become the preferred choice
of many motorsport users for the connection of sensors or other
devices requiring 5 contacts or less. Compact dimensions, light
weight and
waterproof design have ensured that this product stays at the
head of the game.
Autosport connectors can be found on almost every race car
in the world as a result of the extensive product range,
ease of
use,
compact dimensions and waterproof design. The list offered

AMP minitimer connectors can be found on almost every low
to medium level race engine found today, our range of 2
and 3
way connectors
are quick release type and have double sprung high pressure
contacts to ensure long life. Flexible rubber or hard shrunk
Raychem boots
are available for the cable entry.
