The M172 is a fully programmable and exceptionally low cost engine control system with a massive range of standard (no extra cost) features for engines up to 4 cylinders, 2 and 4 stroke.

System overview

  • 1 > 4 cylinders (6 and 8cyl on request)
  • 1 or 2 injectors per cylinder (high / low bank)
  • Sequential or semi sequential operation
  • 4 ignition coil drivers for inductive or CD coils
  • Turbo or normally aspirated
  • Drive By Wire Throttle with twin potentiometers inputs & diagnostics
  • Closed loop mapping on the dyno or adaptive road mapping.

Inputs / Outputs overview

  • 2 inputs for crank and cam, the latter having a choice of inductive or Hall type sensors
  • 4 ignition coil drivers with non-amplified or pre-amplified signal options
  • Up to 8 injector drivers
  • 10 analogue inputs, all fully programmable for different sensors.

  • On/off switched output controlled by RPM or Temperature table.
  • Tacho (rev counter) signal output with 1,2 or 4 pulses per revolution.
  • 2 wheel speed inputs for Hall sensors

M137_J General purpose motorsport engine control system - This compact aluminium housed ECU is fully programmable and able to cover all of the following installation possibilities: Now available for Honda CBR crank & cam pattern

  • Double bank injection for a 4 cylinder engine with 8 injector drivers

  • 4 outputs for use as ignition coil or switched control outputs

  • DC motor control for 'drive by wire' throttle

  • Flat shift by on/ff switch or load cell

  • PWM output control

  • RPM signal output

  • Map switch toggle

  • Fuel pump control

  • Drop switch control (bikes)

  • CAN communications with external logger / dashboard

  • Inputs for Fuel trim switch / Throttle / air pressure / wide band lambda / air temperature / water temperature / 2 x wheel speeds

  • Individual cylinder correction for all primary functions

  • Adaptive 'self learn'  fuel mapping using an external wide band lambda system.

Software is currently available for the majority of engines up to 4 cylinders including all Ducati V twin engines.
